Tools

For power tools, we could really use:
  • Two or more tool actuated vacuum cleaners for orbital sanding (Fein, Festool, etc).
  • Our orbital sanders need replacement too. They are Bosch 5” random orbital sanders with a hook and loop 8-hole pad.
  • We’re always on the lookout for bandsaw blades; one of our bandsaws is 105”, the other is 131-1/2”. We typically use a 3/8” 8-12 TPI, but occasionally switch (on the larger blade) to a 1” wide 2 TPI.
  • We are also down to two functional cordless drills. They have been in heavy duty service for over a decade. We need at least two more quality cordless drills.
For hand tools, we need:
  • Quality Block Planes
  • Spokeshaves
  • Japanese Backsaws
  • Combination Squares
  • Tape Measures
These are the tools that get dropped on our concrete floors and over the years give up the ghost.
